The Qigong Foundations training is the prerequisite to entry into this expanded module-by-module program.

In Qigong Foundations you’ll learn the essential principles and practices of Qigong, including foundational movements, posture, alignment, theory and philosophy.

Module 1 - 3: Qigong Foundations

Module 4: Shibashi Qigong & The Three Treasures

Shibashi (pronounced Shi-ba-sha) translates to mean eighteen forms or movements. Created in 1979 by the Professor Lin Housheng, this is one of the most well known contemporary forms of Qigong. The Three Treasures—Jing, Qi, and Shen—provide deep insight into the interconnectedness of the body, mind, and spirit. This module is estimated at 30-hours of study and learning.

Module 5: Qi Development, Dantian Gong & Neigong Fundamentals

Explore the journey of nurturing, enhancing, and deepening your connection with your life force energy. Learn essential Dantian Gong practices that focus on fortifying and filling the Dantian, creating a strong energy reserve. Activate your full energy system through the transformative art of Neigong, or internal skill.

Module 6: Qi Healing & Buddha Palm Qigong

Qi Healing encompasses a wide range of approaches that use Qi to promote healing. Discover the key principles behind Qi Healing, explore various self-healing practices, and dive into the transformative Buddha Palm Qigong technique. Strengthen your ability to heal yourself but also deepen your understanding of how energy can be directed for restoration and balance.

Module 7: Microcosmic Orbit & 6 Healing Sounds

The Microcosmic Orbit is both an ancient meditation and internal alchemy practice that circulates energy. Six Healing Sounds Qigong uses sound, vibration and toning to release stagnant energy, clear emotional blockages, and revitalise the organ systems. Each seeks to create a flow that balances, nourishes, and harmonises the whole body.

Grow and evolve as a professional Qigong teacher by deepening your understanding of working with diverse demographics, designing themed classes, creating tailored programs, and developing inclusive, accessible teaching methods. Additionally, receive mentorship on essential business basics to support your success and sustainability as a Qigong professional.

Module 8: Developing Teaching Skills & Business Basics

Module 9 - 13: Metal, Water, Wood, Fire, Earth - Elemental Theory & Practices

The Five Elements embody the essential forces of nature and the body, working to balance and harmonize the organs while aligning with natural cycles. By connecting to these rhythms, you cultivate internal harmony and well-being. In these modules, you will learn specific forms for each of the Five Elements, accompanied by supporting theory, philosophy, and insights into elemental connections. Each element is estimated at 30-hours of study and learning.

Module 14: Yuan Shen & the Five Spirits, Poisons, Thieves & Beauties

Shen Gong is a deeply nourishing practice dedicated to the development of the Self and the heartmind (Xin). It involves cultivating higher levels of consciousness and awareness through seated movement and presence practice, along with contemplation. These practices guide you to understanding and uncovering the purest aspect of your being.

Module 15: Shen Gong & Heart-mind Development

Shen Gong is a deeply nourishing practice focused on the development of the Self and the heartmind (Xin), integrating both spiritual and emotional cultivation. Through a combination of seated movement, presence practice, and contemplation, Shen Gong encourages a heightened awareness and expanded consciousness. These practices allow you to connect with your inner stillness, facilitating the release of emotional blockages and the discovery of your authentic essence.

Module 16: Eight Extraordinary Vessels & the Psyche

In Daoist practices, the Eight Extraordinary Vessels act as reservoirs of Qi and are key to shaping the deeper layers of the psyche. The energy in these vessels influences unconscious patterns, emotional experiences, and self-development. By working with these vessels, one can release deeply rooted energetic imbalances, fostering psychological healing, emotional resilience, and a clearer sense of inner purpose and identity.

Module 17: Dao, Systems & Foundations of Daoism

Daoism, or Taoism, is an ancient Chinese philosophy that emphasizes living in harmony with the Dao, the fundamental principle that underlies and guides the natural order of the universe. Rooted in Laozi's Dao De Jing, Daoism promotes a life of simplicity, spontaneity, and alignment with nature's flow. Over time, it evolved into various forms and schools of tradition, all aimed at cultivating balance, inner peace and spiritual transcendence.

In this module, you'll select a Qigong form as your elective to study, practice, and embody. You can choose from five different sequences, which include both classical and contemporary styles of Qigong. This module is estimated at 30-hours of study and learning.
